Seemed more appropriate here. The question wasn't related to the anecdote in which it was used, but rather about the phrase itself. I've heard it used many times, mostly my females, but also numerous guys. And being a guy you'd think I'd know what it meant to "take it like a man"...But I do not.
So could you explain it for me? How does one "take it like a man"?
KK. Well, initially, he seemed to be handling it in a really dignified way- obviously hurt, but not trying to get me back/calling me/contacting me/etc., mailed me a couple of things he forgot to give me in person. I think he was actually doing relatively decently cohabiting Intensity with me (with his
main account), all things considered. I was honestly quite impressed with how he initially seemed to be handling it, as were my friends (they explicitly
said they were impressed, actually).
How does a man HAVE to take it?
Take what?
