My birthday is on a Saturday too.

I assume you will celebrate it appropriately, by going to Mass.  :pope:

^We had higher than that today (39°C). It was 41.1°C yesterday. I am trying to stay cool inside with all the windows and doors shut to keep the heat out. I have the air conditioning set to 26°C so it is warm but not unbearable.

I posted my previous post after I read yours in the weather thread and the question came to mind, 'What would be the highest temperature Holland ever 'had'?

Well, anyway, hope you can cope a bit with those extreme high Ts. Think I wouldn't cope at all and turn nocturnal during Summer. Kinda start disliking Ts above 25*C already.

Thanks. :)
The temperature probably won't go below 25°C tonight so it is hard to sleep when it is like this. It is hard to cope with. I get kind of depressed because it is hard to go out and do anything productive when it is this hot. I want to sweep the back patio because there is sand everywhere from last week's storm but it is really hot. I will just have to do it in the morning I think.

^ Hope for you that there's a bit of wind from the ocean (no storm). Well, that tends to help/moderate highs temperatures in this neck of the woods. Not sure it does at your whereabouts though.

And yeah, to stay indoors with the AC 'on low'/windows and doors shut can get one a tadski depressed. Not being able to do what have you. Bummer.

Cannot think of anything helpful to say but hope for you (others there) that the weather will soon change for the better (um, lower Ts, I mean.. not more sunshine and heat :P).

We are getting a bit of storm action from the north but no rain. It is indeed better when we get wind coming off the sea, it is the same here as where you are. Still no end in sight, would definitely prefer temperatures in the 20s.

My daughters BD is next Saturday.

That's not a useless fact at all.

Just means that I have to blow up balloons this very night.

couple of weeks later, my BD will also be on a Saturday.
