Another Nova Scotia fact,  I love Nova Scotia

The munitions ship SS Mont-Blanc exploded in Halifax harbor in 1917 killing about 2000 people.  The explosion had an estimated yield of 2.9 kt which is in the range of a small tactical nuke

Other useless fact?

It's forbidden/prohibited to use 'human menure' to enrich the soil in Holland.
(have known a chap that did so to boast his garden marijuana plants) (eeeeeew)
(he had ridiculusly big plants though)

LOL, me too. Spanish garlic is safe though. :D

I'm now trying to grow my own. Planted some cloves last autumn. If all goes as planned, I should be able to harvest some garlic at the end of summer.
Read later that there are types of garlic that fit Dutch conditions a lot better than the garlic that is sold in stores. Will have a look for that when I find the time. Would love lots and lots of garlic from my own garden.

Mostly use dried cow manure btw.  :asthing:

Hey, I live in Bergen op Z.. and bergen, like in your language (bärga?) also I think, means mountains. Um, I have to climb up 'giant' hills up to 5 meters (above sea level). :LOL:

Nah, those bikes rid like smooth everywhere. Off track, through forests, even in the city.. good all rides kinda bike, in my opinion.

And yep, for an other useless facto.. Holland has indeed no mountains. Highest hill here is about 322 ms above sea level. I.e. the 'Vaalserberg' in the province called Limburg (S.E. part of Holland).

Ah, even closer-by thus..

Eén berg, twee bergen in Dutch.. and yeah, mountains are called 'bergen' here idem ditto. 3 cheers for German based languages, I say.
