Swedish motorcycle and car licenses are for life too, but you have to renew the physical license every 10th year. In Germany you have the same physical license your whole life.

Sigtuna is the oldest Swedish town still inhabited. It was founded 980 by King Erik the Victorius. It's the last Swedish town that still has a mayor, and he's just an honour mayor. It is situated in the province Uppland and the county of Stockholm.

Blasphemy!  :o Not only is Mercedes-Benz the oldest car in the world, that particular car is one of the fastest that you can drive on a public road (and only in Germany, since it's the only country that still has highways with no speed limits that are good enough for that velocity): 324 kmph or 202 mph.

There is a council which is like a parliament in miniature. There is a chairman of the council but s/he isn't called "mayor" and hasn't got the same function as an old Swedish mayor had. Before 1965 or so a Swedish mayor was also a judge in the municipal court.

You can't drive too fast. I drove 170 kmph through a tunnel and over a bridge in the middle of the night in a heavy rain. Brave!  8)

I look at cars and trucks for there usefulness   fancy doesn't impress me much what would I use it for.  I can carry about 1900lbs in my truck or tow about 14,000.  And it doesn't matte if I throw my empty coffee cups on the floor :laugh:
