I comprehend a number of insect languages, some prey animals, but mostly I "speak" dog.

I seem to do OK understanding my cats through the years, but I can't seem to make them understand me or really care what I want for that matter.

Dogs are completely owned by my way of vocal, hand and eye movements, though. I think dogs are incredibly intelligent. I have encountered several bears, when I lived in Tennessee and in my travels on foot through Idaho, Colorado, up through Northern Canada, but they seem reluctant to engage with humans, despite their intelligence. They think of us as enemy competitors and they mostly want us to go away.
Dogs seem to regard us as really smart dogs and they will follow us, due tho their pack instincts.

I have no concept of what it would be like to speak cat and get some kind of response, other than a lift of a tail or a shift of an ear and a wink.

All kinds of shit. Theres the happy chirp, which is like "WHERE ARE YOU?" or "HERE I AM". Or theres the chatter which means "DO WANT". Theres also the purr, the sleepy purr, the squeal, the growl, the hiss, the Intrigued meow, the noncomittal meow, the agressive purr, the inquisitive chirp, etc. They actually almost have a spoken language.

Yeah, I know! I can understand it, but I'll be damned if I can speak it.

I can. I don't have to use my tongue to make a purring or a rapid noise. I can do it in the back of my throat for some reason. Real helpful cause a lot of things a cat says have that rolling sound to it.

Its funny too cause people I know think i'm wierd. they'll see my cat and hear it just say "meow" a bunch of times, but i'll know shes saying something like "Hey dad follow me theres something cool in here!" or "Hey pick me up dammit!".

A cat talked to me earlier today. He said that the Nobel prize in medicine should have been given to that chauffeur guy who came up with the idea in the first place. I think your cat should get out more. :P

I can actually "speak cat". Its almost like when a baby can't really talk yet but as their parent, you know what they are trying to say. I could actually understand my cats completely, and knew how to "meow" back at them the right way.

When I was a little younger, I used to curl up with my cat poco, and sort of roll around like she did. I think I must actually be part cat, or maybe had been a cat in a past life.
Am wondering if you have seen these:

cat chirping at birds:

And two cats talking:

I can't get your vids, but from what I understand from your text, every cat I have ever known has done this.

When we lived in the country, as a kid and a young adult, I often had twenty or more cats. The country is rough on the cat population, as you may imagine. They always talked to each other. Some did it without vocalising, though. This has always intrigued me about cats. My logical mind does not believe that this is possible, but I have witnessed this behavior on too many occasions to ignore it completely.
I once had a tiny, runt tom survive from a litter that was eaten by coyotes, who never said a "word."  Even when he was infantile, all he had to do was look at the other cats, in his way, and they gave him room, first chance at the feed bowl, brought him live, stunned prey, etc. He was obviously an alpha from his earliest interactions with the other cats and it was all telepathic or "eye-contact"  related. He was mostly mute. I wondered if he actually had a voice, until once (he was teen-like, not fully grown)  he screamed. He had a scream that sent all other cats running away, but it had no effect on dogs. Fortunately, he was also extremely fast and lived to be my friend for many years.

Bronx is named after the Swedish captain Jonas Brunck, who was the first white man to settle in the area.

Most of my women were not from my county. They often even weren't from Götaland.

And most of them legally blind or legally insane. Or both.

Linda was the best student at her school and another of them was a high school teacher in Uppsala, who also shared many of my political views.  8)
