The smallest country in the world by area is Monaco.  I think.

I thought that the smallest country in the world was Vatican City.  It is a sovereign country.

As far as those recognized in general.
I believe that the Italian govt recognizes
the Knights of Malta, however, whose
'country' consists of a couple of floors
of a building in Naples.

Yeah, but I'm not counting a country inhabited entirely by Papist kiddy-humpers and their followers though technically Vatican City is a country.

I think I have a job!

That's hardly a "usless" fact!!! Congatulations!!! (I hope).

Thanks. It seems things may work out, eventually. It's only an hourly wage, but I am thinking of it as a "foot in the doorway," which is more than I had last week.

I call it useless, because to everyone else who tries to apply this information to their own evil plans, I will become resistant.

The Way of the Samurai is found in death. Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day, when one's body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears, and swords, being carried away by surging waves, being thrown into the midst of a great fire, being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake, falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease or committing seppuku at the death of one's master. And every day, without fail, one should consider himself as dead. This is the substance of the Way of the Samurai.

Honey doesn't go off.

As in, it's not explosive?

As in, it doesn't spoil.

I have had honey crystallize before, though.

It depends on where you live, I believe. In south Texas, honey only last about four or five months, before it molds. If you pasteurized it and seal it into airtight jars, it will last a long time, even if it crystallizes. Once you open the jar, you have to eat it, though.

Once it has crystallized, all you have to do is heat it slightly, like in a pan of hot water, and it will be fine.

Wow. Never saw it mold.

Everything molds in south Texas. It could be just the environment, I suppose. If you leave water out over night on your nightstand and don't pour it out the next morning, it will have mold growing by the afternoon and by the next day mold will be quite visible.

Yeah, my wife had a rough time understanding why I would freak out when she drank water that had been out overnight.
It's not that way in Indiana, but we have a different set of allergens, pests and annoyances to attack us. Thank gawd we have plenty of spiders, here!

In The Simpsons, Matt Groaning got the name Ned Flanders and LoveJoy from the name of the streets here in Portland. He grew up here. The street isn't called Ned Flanders lol, it's called Flanders St. My uncle even typed in the name on google and a picture of Ned Flanders popped up.
