Every Dolby cinema sound processor there ever was has the same flaw: you can't have the sound off for *both* projectors in a two-projector setup at the same time, unless you switch to a non-sync format. One projector will always be on. In later models they added a Mute function but they've never fixed that basic flaw.

That's why some of us construct a changeover circuit that allows it when installing Dolby processors.

The social democrats and the communists used to carry revolvers in Sweden in the 1920s, which is one of the reasons that Sweden got its first gun law. Hard to imagine today.

In France and Germany they sell sugar, coffee etc in "pounds". A French or German "pound", however, is not 454 grams, like an English or American pound, or 425 grams, like an old Swedish pound, but exactly ½ kilo.

In spite of his outstanding body of work Dr Seuss ( Theodor Geisel ) never won the Caldecott Medal or the Newberry.

The borders of Savolax are usually drawn wrong on Finnish maps but correctly on Swedish. Here I have taken the map of historical Finnish provinces from Wikipedia and corrected them. Savolax is yellow, Karelia is dark green. The little lonely dark green dot is the parish of Nuijamaa.

The Xenon bulbs we use lose their warranty after only 200 hours of service.

In the early nuclear weapons they used a mix of 70% TNT and 30% barium nitrate to push the radioactive components together and start the nuclear process. Barium was used due to its high density.
