I can actually "speak cat". Its almost like when a baby can't really talk yet but as their parent, you know what they are trying to say. I could actually understand my cats completely, and knew how to "meow" back at them the right way.
When I was a little younger, I used to curl up with my cat poco, and sort of roll around like she did. I think I must actually be part cat, or maybe had been a cat in a past life.
Am wondering if you have seen these:
cat chirping at birds:
And two cats talking:
I can't get your vids, but from what I understand from your text, every cat I have ever known has done this.
When we lived in the country, as a kid and a young adult, I often had twenty or more cats. The country is rough on the cat population, as you may imagine. They always talked to each other. Some did it
without vocalising, though. This has always intrigued me about cats. My logical mind does not believe that this is possible, but I have witnessed this behavior on too many occasions to ignore it completely.
I once had a tiny, runt tom survive from a litter that was eaten by coyotes, who never said a "word." Even when he was infantile, all he had to do was look at the other cats, in his way, and they gave him room, first chance at the feed bowl, brought him live, stunned prey, etc. He was obviously an alpha from his earliest interactions with the other cats and it was all telepathic or "eye-contact" related. He was mostly mute. I wondered if he actually had a voice, until once (he was teen-like, not fully grown) he screamed. He had a scream that sent all other cats running away, but it had no effect on dogs. Fortunately, he was also extremely fast and lived to be my friend for many years.
