I grew up in a place where there was almost nothing old at all. Moving to Indiana and discovering real antiques was sort of fun.

There were a few ruined buildings from the Spanish, in south Texas, but most buildings were not built to last and anything left lying around either rusted away rather quickly or was buried in a flood.
