 I was just wondering if you might have more luck finding something which is less specific,  the group in my hometown the aspies go to is called "The Neurodiversity group", incorparating people with Tourettes and the like.

i dunno.  I've kinda lost interest, the weekly intensity chats seem to be fulfilling my fun-time social needs quite well
To be honest I think I might be more interested in joining one of the self-improvement focused groups I had seen advertised.  But thats a long drive into NYC, and meeting a bunch of complete strangers at once so I'm concentrating on getting my apartment going first

No, not really, some agreed that there was no way of really knowing if there was a God or not, some said "I just believe in it, therefore its true, so there!!" 
Others said that they believed God to be simply beyond human emotion and understanding, but didn't really explain why they believed that.
I don't know why I enjoy getting into those silly debates so much

I hope you're not referring to me. I didn't say that about god, I said it about spirits, so get your facts straight.  The thing with the paranormal is, the only *proof* you have are your own experiences (and accounts of others' experiences.) You can't just pull a ghost out of a hat and show it to everyone. Also, skeptics will just tell the person that had the experience that they're crazy.
