Actually, I'm really considering teaching HS.

Worse than that, in NYC, where it's real tough.
But, my sense of duty might be of some use
teaching. It sure gets in my way in other things.

The only real worry, is that I just can't make
myself understandable, even to people here.

You know, you might be better off in a tough inner city school. At least they may know about the meaning of respect. Some kids born with a silver spoon in their mouth have no idea; are not disciplined and you can't slap them around like you could 20 years ago.
The kids aren't the only problem though, its the other teachers too.

Seriously, I can be pretty damned intimidating, at times.
I'm a LOT more worried about the teachers/admin. They
might have the sense to have me arrested.
