Now and then, I run across people whose posts
I don't understand - more at WP than here. Usually,
it takes a bit of familiarity to figure them out. Maybe
both of you are just too lazy, with regard to my posts,
to bother. Either way, I keep my opinion, as laziness
and intelligence is no better than the lack of both.

I think that it is an overly simplistic question whether we discriminate in favor of males or females simply because of their gender.

Like PI said, some of us tend to tread more lightly with someone who is going trough a difficult time, regardless of gender.  In addition, people here tend to get back what they give.  By this I mean that if a person is generally kind and respectful to others, then they are usually treated this way in return.  This has nothing to do with gender.
