That is cool you do a sport and its not just casual. I imagine it is pretty rough like what I have seen on TV. I am pretty sure I heard SM people have safe words that keep things from going too far. Is that the case, or is anything outside of shock inducing pain and death fair game?

i disagree.

i think that a trusted person would be better. IMHO, it would diminish the pleasure if you knew that a simple word was an easy out.
then again, i wouldn't get into any of the brutally painful, or life threatening bullshit.

Some do, some don't. It depends on the relationship between the Dom and Sub and the degree of trust that they share.

Yeah that makes sense, safe words especially if you can't trust someone to control themselves. I wouldn't have such a problem myself I think. I would think the majority of people follow some sort or rules or use safe words to some extent, even if someone is trusted maybe. I don't think I would be into truly life threatening or serious injury related crap either. I am just curious haha.
