When did you go to Las Vegas? Why did you go there?


I hate that city because there is no history to it. They're always tearing down buildings and building new ones.  I like old buildings.

You should stay at the hotel I stayed at then.  We got the place for $20... for the entire week.

Which one was that ? ive stayed at the Imperial Palace last couple of times. Very good value, a bit more than $20 for a week though. 

Yeah, I've stayed at the Imperial Palace, I can think of two things wrong with that name.

We stayed at Binion's on Fremont street.  Spent more in cab rides getting south to the strip than we did for the hotel itself.

So how do you manage Binnions for $20 per week ? It must have been christmas time.
Ive stayed there before ( well deposited clothes in a friends room, had a shower and a kip for a few hours - not really stayed).
It's better than the imperial for sure.

It was a package deal through Expedia.  I compared just the flight vs. flight + hotel, and the Binions deal came out to just $20 more.  So, we went for it.  It was recently actually, the week of the 4th of July.

What is the largest amount of money that
you've made in a poker game/tourney?

I finished 7th out of 100+ players in a £1500 buyin event in London 2003. Paid about £5000.
That was the biggest event ive played in with my own money.
It's a different game nowadays.

You have people stake you?

I used to have a few backers before i started playing mainly on the internet.
Ive had some deals with some websites too, but the latest one cut my pay by nearly 50% about six months ago. So i stopped playing since the games were dead and not worth playing in just for the winnings ( in fact i was struggling to break even for last three months of play).

Very funny, doesn't get on TV much probably due to foul language and general offensiveness, good at card tricks too.
Much underrated i think.

Bear in mind that your american (correct me if you are not) B.A is approximately equavilent to british A-levels, when I have my degree i will be on a similar level to you. Plus if i continue to like maths i will get a british MA and a PHD...
