I agree with the comments that you need some more work. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the System Of a Down/Tool-ish sound that you're going for, though I like the Bass tones. --I'm assuming that you're the Bass Player, so tell me, what's your rig as far as Bass/Amp/FX?

I also think the guitars need to be higher in the mix.

In short, I've run sound for bands that were way worse than yours.

I have a shitty Sammick 5 string bass, and a Mark Bass combo amp (little mark head + 12" spk).

The mix was shit, it was done in a home studio along with the recording. We definitely weren't ready to record, but I wasn't paying for it so whatever. Though I'd prefer not to have such crap attributed to me. Sure it's only demo stuff, but a band like this really needs to be TIGHT and the drummer just layed out 4 shitty tracks, so there wasn't much anyone else could do to save it from mediocrity. The fact that the vocalist insists on trying to belt out notes he can't reach just compounds it. I'm not saying I'm the best musician in the band, infact I feel I didn't do that good a job on the recordings, but I have been making music for a long time and I have standards I'd like to meet. We performed live for the first time a few weeks after the recording and we played awesome, only fucked up one song but it was a cover and the crowd loved it. Recording before ever having gigged also seemed dumb to me, but that is one reason for makin a demo, to get gigs.

She did it herself and he was in love. One of the most expensive items in my Lennon collection is the LP Two Virgins that became known not because of any musical value--because trust me, there is none--but because of the brown paper bag that covered the nude shots on the covers.

That's the one where she started exploring, so to speak. They did another two albums like that, but there was never any musical value. Never.

Yoko was in the presence of a genius but it wasn't contagious.
