Why is someone as young as you are taking so many?  Do you think that you have become addicted to them?

Not addicted at all, I have days off where I elect to put up with the pain. By doing that I restrict what I can do. To quote House "I have a pain problem, not a pain management problem"

Where is the pain and what caused it?

"come stay with me, and rest awhile..."  (short length of time).

"i'm going out - i may be a while."  (implied longer time).

but if you're itching to broadcast it, please do (as i'm not altogether convinced i know what it is anyway - i'm of the generation who wasn't taught grammar, and so have had to work out the "labels" for what's right and wrong myself, sadly).

I'm not trying to humiliate you in any way; I'm just fascinated with English grammar -- one of my current obsessions.

It's a pity that I haven't used my grammar knowledge to write out short stories and such.

noooooo, i didn't mean that, hon.  i meant broadcasting the info - go for it (cos i'm always interested in learning new stuff, as you know).

and it's never too late to start writing - i was 39, you know, although i had dabbled previously.  tell you what, if you want, i'll even have a gander at your stuff and give you feedback, if you like.  (as long sa it's not when i'm snowed under with marking, either writing or GCSEs).
