I wonder always at what kind of comparison those who feel the way that fatty does
make between some poor schmuck receiving some bare subsistence lifestyle, either
through the government dole, or from the kindness of friends/charity, and the heir
to some supposedly earned wealth (not just talking about Paris here) who neither
needs to work nor would have any trouble doing so, due to improved connections.

Life's not fair. Some people get things handed to them on a silver platter, is it so
very awful that others, who probably have real difficulty working, get it handed to
them in a garbage bag?

As I said, one of the few things I like about my country is that people who really are disabled can get money to survive here, though it's not that easy to get it as many think and it's certainly not much. I have less than $10000/year after tax in my current situation. Any aspies with a job who envy me?

And I'm not saying that it should be limited
to disability either.

The point of what I was saying, was that it
strikes me that MOST of those upset by this
idea of people not working is one of fairness.
And that the inherent unfairness of the world
makes this a much smaller greivence than the
social and legal conventions do already.

I get 91% of my rent paid by the state. And car insurances are much cheaper here than in most of the US. Visiting a doctor and getting medications is also much less expensive. I never go out, except when I date someone. Etc. And I don't smoke cigars and drink all the time.
