You may have also hurt the ligaments or tendons of the arm and they take awhile to heal.  Or since you use the arm for computer stuff, the injury and usage may have combined into a kind of repetetive motion injury.  Any muscle or bone damage would be healed by now, especially any "hairline" fracture.
