Is that your ass Lit?

Yep. It has been sexier in my youth, though, when I used to walk and make long rides on my bicycle.  :-[

My wife callled it an "Apple Ass". She also said you look skinny. (I think you need some sun.)

It's still a very nice apple ass.

Oh, thanks.  :) Yes, I'm skinny and pale.   :-\

American money is heading in the same cheesy direction.

At least it's better than pre-war Italian money,
which changed size based on denomination.

Inflation made this hilarious.

American money is looking more and more like Monopoly money.   ::)

It looks like you dragged your money through the red mud before you put it in your wallet.

Supposedly this new colored money is more difficult to counterfeit.   ::)

Swedish money. It's King Gustav Vasa (Gustav I) on the 1000 kronor bill (about $150).

Those "silver" stripes are magnetic. They can check them in a machine to know with almost 100% certainty that they're real.

American money has a plastic security strip in it as well.  It is printed with the denomination of the bill, and is supposed to be very difficult to counterfeit.  The security strips for different bills glow different colors under ultraviolet light.  The twenty dollar bill's strip glows green, the ten dollar bill's strip glows orange, and the fifty dollar bill's strip glows yellow.  So why did they have to color the face of our money like Monopoly money?

Out of paranoia, I suppose. I always liked that all American bills were green before.

Me too.  Before the ink was black or green only.

You can see the whole lot here: http://www.cartref.demon.co.uk/eng/collect.htm

The Royal Bank of Scotland, the Bank of Scotland and the Clydesdale Bank all print their own notes, so there's quite a lot of variety to the money in Scotland.

No, it's not backed by silver.  I'm not sure what the term 'sterling' on our money is all about, but it might just mean the money's Scottish, since we have a city called Sterling.
