Poor early childhood bounced from foster home to foster home late to teenage years. Kinda sucked ass.

I lived in Connecticut till my parents separated when I was 11 and I moved with my mom to Florida. It was a bit of a culture shock,  the schools were a lot stricter and where I was getting help with my rather severe dyslexia and fine motor problems in Connecticut  in Florida bad spelling and penmanship equaled stupid,  also although most people came from other parts of the country it was still a very southern place at that time we even got Robert E. Lee Day off school.  From when I moved till I moved back for college I would fly alone back and forth to Connecticut for Xmas,Easter and summer vacation and stay at my grandparents house in Ct where my father lived.

It was easy. Spoiled only child. Mom made it easy and fun; best friend outside of my husband, still keep her close to me and have convinced her to move three times to be near me, in 25 years away from home. Don't keep up with dad; nothing bad to say, good man and took good care of us, but work kept him away, so didn't have time or much chance to grow close like kids do with parents.

My childhood was... varied. :P

The parts in Finland were fine, most of the time, but once we had moved to Sweden we seemed to never settle anywhere. I suppose it's why I have moved very few times since I left home to study at the uni.

It was easy. Spoiled only child.

That. Grew up in NY, in a state park right next door to the flood control dam where my dad worked. We did a lot together. Family road trips in a Winnebago every summer up until I was about 13 etc...my parents where auction/antique/flea market nuts, every weekend I went "treasure hunting" with them and had a massive collection of stuff and a huge attic bedroom with my own bathroom and phone.

My dad was  a maintenance mechanic...the silent type, normally went into hiding when I had friends over, didn't do very good with the noise...he was very intelligent, had a massive collection of guns, reloading equipment, and tools. I used to help him in the garage/house repairing things after my mother would get chased away without fail after about 20 minutes for asking too many questions...I just stayed quiet handed him tools, held stuff, and watched and learned. My mother was my best friend, had a ton of patience, and was very creative...I could talk to her about anything...she loved gardening, fixing up furniture, crafts...making wine :autism:.

Life was good.  8)

Then I grew up and got married. :zombiefuck:

Why did you spend 3.5 years in Pakistan?

My parents were missionaries.

What insane religion sends missionaries with their kids to a place like that?

Anyplace with blasphemy laws is a dangerous place for a missionary  not associated with the dominate religion
