Sucks. But whatever. Work always does.
At least I have fun. Get to try and break
a couple of systems.

How come it sucks if you're having fun?

I guess I can't object, given what they're willing
to pay for it. I still regret the trade though.

How much money would you value your time at if you could set the price?

How much money would you value your time at if you could set the price?

The question is non-sensical. I value my life above my time (oh, not intellectually,
but in actions), and take steps to maintain that thing. Now, IF I could set the
price, I'd set it so high that I could only be afforded for very tiny bits of time.
I don't really value MONEY per say. So, it's like comparing how much copper
tubing you consider bananas to equate with. I can come up with sliding scales,
and the like, but it really wouldn't help, I think. I knew that I'd need work, and
couldn't turn down their offer. Not with any admission that I was actually looking
for work.

And, I had thought I had good reason to do so. Convinced I was wrong about that,
but now, it's as easy to be miserable working as miserable not.

i value my time and hate it when i have to work, because i could spend that time doing better things like watching tv shows and gay pr0n. but then if you can find enjoyment in your work and you get money you need it's alright. do you have set hours or do you have a deadline thingy?

I don't much consider what I normally do these days as
worthwhile anyhow. BUT, I know that I still value my right
to do what I want with my time. A lot. I think that's why I
hate shopping.

I'll survive. Still, I'd rather be at home.

Sorta set hours. I mean, I really should be in the office for 8 hours a day.
But, I have some flexibility as to when I go in and leave, which is nice. I know
that there will be weekends when I'll be asked to work - which doesn't really
bug me. Officially, I'm paid by the hour, but it's really set up more like a salary
thing. I kinda HAVE to put down 40 hours each week, or it'll screw their bookeeping
up.

well yeah i'm kind of obsessed with being free. free to do what i want. if i have to work it forces me to do one thing and i can't just do what i want then... though i do have more freedoms than most with my work because i can surf and watch tv while i work. :P and when i get IE on my lapper i can lie down while working as well. :zoinks:

I love the IDEA of working on my own,
but found that the reality was too tough.

I just wasn't getting enough done. A fixed
schedule helps me - even though it makes
me miserable.

Are you a bird watcher or ever take any classes in ornithology?   The professor I took ornithology with is the guy who updated the   Peterson's Guide to Bird's of North America,  Nobel Proctor

My wife got me interested in birds, but I was never too serious.
I tend to give them their own names, and just watch. Though, I'll
pick up info whenever I can, I just won't seek it out.
