these people burrow 50 miles underground to leave their beloved mexico to try their hand at the american dream.
yet they won't even attempt to learn the language.

what's worse is these fucking hecho en mexico bumperstickers and flags that they put everywhere.
if you loved your country so fucking much, then why'd you leave it in the first place.

really, my 3 month old boy can communicate better with me than these third world clowns.
learn the fucking language, and embrace the rules and customs of the country you fought so hard to get into.

They don't need it for the jobs that they're offered. Most would much rather stay in Mexico, than suffer the hardships to get here - there just aren't any jobs available. I'm not saying that we should make things easier on them, but it strikes me that they have as much right to break the law and come here, without learning the native tounge, as your ancestors had.

They're generally OK by me, but then again I'm used to being around Latin/Catholic Culture as my mom's family is French Canadian, and I grew up in a neighborhood that was pretty much mixed Irish/Italian. ---This is essentially what happens after Irish Immigrants and Italian Immigrants stay in one area for a couple of generations.

most of the outside truckdrivers are mexican and cannot speak a lick of english.

let alone the guy who rear ended my family today on the freeway.
he didn't speak english, no drivers licence or insurance, and the car wasn't even his.

That could be because of the fact that many of the other people that they work with on a day to day basis also speak Spanish. --I suppose that California is different in that respect considering the fact that California and other border states have always had large numbers of native Spanish speakers. For the record, there are still quite a few towns along the Quebec/New Brunswick border in Maine, where French is still the dominant language in day to day life.
