Ever see the twilight zone* episode where a criminal dies and we follow him through the afterlife? He discovers that he can have his ever wish, just by asking for it. He likes it at first, but soon grows tired of it. Finally, he says to his "guide" in this place: "I'd like to go to the other place." Answer: "This IS the other place." hell is what you don't want it to be.
*it might have been the outer limits. They're interchangeable in my mind. One or the other, though.
