To some extent, I think that the belief is more
important than the thing believed in. Not to
say that there may not be some underlying
truth, but that it's simply not comprehensible,

I guess that's what they mean by, "persuasion.'

i was actually, open to many possibilities, during my spirit quests. I was also under the impression that I was more cat-like. I had less respect for canines during those times. I had only known a few good domestic ones then. Never known a wild one. I had no idea that they were just as (whatever it was that I liked about cats)-like.

I was very religious as a kid, I went to church, sunday school and a church choir even though none in my family is religious. Then when I was 8 I stopped believing in God, thinking it's crap that he "tests" me for my faith. A kid shouldn't have to go through all that crap, and God was crap for letting me go through it. If he existed he would've listened to my prayers, to me crying.
