I posted on Facebook about the academic honour society that I got invited into, and one of my aunts is making snide "joking" comments like "Is this going to get you a JOB?" and "What if they don't want any professors in QLD? What are you studying, still music? You might want to change your preferences, lol".

We don't have a landlord, my mother owns the house

All we can do is see if it heats up overnight. It's either a faulty timer in our fuse box (the ripple flow thingy, it's illegal for me to tamper with apparently so I can't open it up and flick the switch to "on" so the system starts heating straight away), or one or both heating elements inside the system itself have died.

We'll have to ring an electrician

 Is there any kind of frog repellant you could use?  Not to kill them, just to keep them away.

I don't know of any. My mum said they have dug tunnels to get where they are. She went outside and poked around with a stick to hopefully disturb the tunnels and give the frogs something to do so they wouldn't make a noise but that hasn't worked.

Eh, koalas smell like piddle so I am not too fond of them. I think GA has held one when we went to DreamWorld in QLD. I stayed far away because of the smell.

One of the bad things about animals is they often do stink

we went to a safari park the other day and the bit you could walk through included giraffes. I literally had to hold my breath and run (which is difficult lol) through the whole thing it was so bad. A lot of bad smells I can tolerate for a while, to see something cool or cute etc. But that was intolerable
