get a birman - they don't scratch or anything. not properly anyway. I have some tiny scratches from her playing, but it doesnt really hurt. she's like a teddy bear

I have no problem with scratches.
I'll probably get us a rescue calico lady of 7 years old. Still playful and fully healthy. Will have a look at her with the girls soon.

I've only heard the description so far.
She seems to be somewhat petite, with lots of white. Don't know if she has grey or black patches, and if the red is a dark or a pale red.
We'll find out. I do know she needs to be relocated urgently. In two weeks she does not have a home any more.

She doesn't seem it. She seems pretty small, although obviously she's still young. Calicos tend to get fatter than other cats and Flo was always bigger than her sister even when we got them so I think she was naturally big as well as having no exercise. Jess runs around a lot at the moment. She does eat a lot of crap though. Obviously I don't feed her crap, but she steals sometimes, you gotta keep an eye on her lol

Her owner has picked up a lot of rescue cats, and now has to move out her house, only allowed to take one cat with her.

Don't know the name of the cat yet. And will not think of a name before I see her. I hope she'll get along with my regular visitor. Then I'll have  & in the windowsill.

Girls keep finding excuses not to sleep. Alternately. Bumping a head, forgetting a hug, and yes, at 11pm they decide to get into a row. 

No matter what will ail them tomorrow, they will be both in school tomorrow. GRRRRRR This Mum is not amused.

It should be absolutely fine. I just hate knocking on neighbors' doors
