oh, well thanks. why didn't they say so? lol. fucking acronyms. i was just wondering. chaos was down and the people were jabbering about DNS. i couldn't make sense of it. i'm not a geek. i'm a tv nerd.

anyway chaos is up now.

DNS is used to map weird IP numbers to somewhat more legible domain names, and what happened was probably that for a brief period of time, your browser asked the server where chaos is but the server's DNS service couldn't match that name to those weird IP numbers.

wow. that can happen?

it was legitimately down though, for a week. was really painful.

Or someone didn't pay the bill, or the server was, in fact, down, or a number of other reasons. If Chaos was down for a week, I'd say the problem wasn't the DNS lookup, it was the site itself being down.

Coming home with too much on my head, after my second rounds, finding the kitchen floor covered in water, sand and soap was not the welcome I was hoping for.
Two way too busy kids playing outside with loads of foam and water-balloons, and then taking over the kitchen made me have a shut down.
They just did not think. And their timing of not thinking was absolutely wrong.
I was so knocked back by it, that I could not even tell them to clean up the mess.

I so hate sticky things under my feet. Yuck, yuck yuck.

The friend of my youngest did call me an hour after that, to apologise for the mess she made, and for not cleaning it up. Was sweet.

When I use IE or FF, I see it fine, but I have been using Chrome, lately. For some reason, Chrome has stolen my avatar! WTF!!!?
