New paying system.
Was told I'd get paid begin of the month, instead of halfway. Only needed to send in the form two weeks sooner too.

So, did that.

No pay.

Because..... I should have made estimations and calculations. And they did not tell me that.
Or I should have send in proof of other payments over that month, but I don't have those at that time. And they could know that. Based on what they can know over the past three years.

Of course, first thing I got told was that I had not sent in the form. UGH!!! But I did. And they had reacted on the form by a letter too.

So, sending it two weeks earlier, means I'll get my payment later than usual, plus getting told of for not doing what I did do. And for not doing what is their job, and they had never told me I should have done it.

Will probably be the same story in January.

I suck at things like this. They know I have support, precisely for this kind of shit. And still.

Of course, my support is on holiday.

I did melt down. More over the way they treated me, no matter how friendly, patronising as hell, than over the money. And I do need the money.

Going to see the doctor in a few hours about pain that I've had for the past 6 weeks.  It used to hurt in my lower back, and I thought I'd strained something, but it hasn't gotten better and this morning the pain had shifted around to my side, so now I'm thinking it might be kidney stones.  Whatever it is, it's been waking me up early in the morning for weeks and preventing me from getting back to sleep.

My bitch for today: Why do they have the towel rack over the toilet? If you don't remember to put the lid down, the little hand towels will fall directly into the bowl. Have yet to have that happen but it annoys me every time I use the bathroom. Someone in the hotel design dept clearly did not think this through!

I used to have problems with eye drops. What worked for me was to tilt your head back and close your eye, then fill up the little pocket in the corner of your eye with the eye drops. Then try to open your eye a little bit and blink. So you're letting the drops flow into your eye, instead of dropping them directly in your eye.

Lame. (For those of you not in the know, yes, that's what it's called.)

Im using Lame 3.97 usually encode with the "--preset fast standard" option.

What exactly is buggy about it for you?

The variable bitrate. The algorithm seem to mess things up, no matter what I do. I'm going back to FLAC encoding now.

Shit, realising I did not put my hiking boots on the radiator. After three hours they did get somewhat wet from the snow. And they will have to perform again tomorrow. Better have them dry from the start then.

Just did not realise. Was not necessary the day before, with the same amount of snow.

This has the added advantage of warming the drops up to skin temperature before they trickle into your eye.
