last i heard was i could expect the money this week, but it would probably arrive chopped up and partial.
i HOPE i get enough for a computer. if i get the 30K spread out over months, its pointless and i wont be able to afford a computer anyway....

as for the rent, its gone. nobody knows where it is, so i will have to pay it out of the 30K. its enough for it, but it is another 10K payment...

i hope that after all is paid, that i will afford a new computer.
i shoulda known better than to ACTUALLY get my hopes and expectations up

I have a small cavity on my front tooth, a wisdom tooth that needs to come out and a huge cavity on my very back molar I knew it was pretty bad cause I can see it and it's all brown but next Wednesday it gets fixed.

I hate the sensory of strangers putting their fingers in my mouth well anyone does. I hate the needles and the freezing but it's better then just letting it get worse.

what was your essay on ?
its possible that what you wrote was actually very good but the structure of the essay and all that bollocks like footnotes and referencing wasnt right. that can take a while to get used to and you can lose a lot of marks for things like that if you're not used to essay-writing. did your tutor not give you ANY feedback or was he just evasive?

No feedback and completely evasive. Just said I can get it remarked but if I get a lower mark then that is the one I will get, not the higher one.

I do see that my conclusion is a bit shit (I sort of rushed it) but is says on my mark sheet that I didn't understand the point of the assignment. I can't see how I missed it, though.

PM it me with a copy of the mark scheme, I probably could see what they are arguing. But as a disabled student, you are entitled for them to give you clear guidance as to what you should be doing, something which has not been done in this case.

No need to be embarassed, I have done worse in the past. In fact the whole thing is now subject to several complaints at my university, thanks to my union tricks. Essay mark schemes should be well defined and meritocratic - that has always been my arguement. The marking these days is fixed towards assumed prior knowledge.

Hadron. I went to uni and photocopied everything (essay, the outline and email with tutor) then went to the Equity office. The person in there helped me put everything together and wrote a cover letter for it all. She said I definitely had a point about the assignment marking system - the marks and comments I got for the essay outline don't match the ones for the essay itself. The unit coordinator will know I am an Equity student now but I don't mind. I am just glad it is all handed in. Now I just have to wait.
Beatle, maybe you can ask for Valium or something beforehand just to make the situation easier to handle.

Good - lets see what they now say about it. I would look up your universities formal complaints proceedure whilst at it - academics rarely admit to being wrong. Make a complaint along the lines of the university is either (a) letting down disabled students or (b) not bothering to set and mark essays properly or (c) both. Whichever it is happens to be up to them to decide, but they do have to fix the problem.

Plus making a complaint is fun - it takes the University a lot more mayhem than it takes for you to write it, its a really good strike at their bureaucratic nonsense. But do check with your Union before you do anything, assuming they are any good.
