Why are SATA power connectors so fucking thin?

I mean goddamnit, there is not a lot more irritating than getting all your wires nicely tied, bundled and routed, only to slightly tug on one and *snap* FFFFFUUU

For that matter; why are all most cases riveted together? goddamnit, if I could just take the whole thing apart I could clean and transport them so much easier.

I had a guy who test drove a car I'm trying to sell the other day and didn't take the hand brake off, and dragged the rear tire for three blocks, flat-spotting the tire down to the cords. He offered me some ridiculous lowball price because it "needs a new rear tire". I coulda punched the fucker.

I had no problems with SATA cables, unless you bought really crap cheap ones. I'd give you a few spare ones I have left from building my PC if you live nearby.

Na, I've got loads of spares - it was on a "EZCool" "650w" PSU, not my first choice, cheap Chinese shit. fucking thing is only actually capable of less than 400w.

Still, not my problem, I didn't pick it.

Haha, yeah you would. Reminds me of when a friend plugged a molex power connector in the wrong way on an IDE HDD. Don't ask how me managed to do it, but the HDD was proper fucked as you put it.

Yeah, loads of people don't think a good PSU is important. Something like a SeaSonic would do though. I Have a Corsair HX620 in my machine (built by SeaSonic I think).

I'm using a Jeantech 700w Modular PSU at the moment - it's an alright PSU, but the fan that was in it was far too loud - cold, but loud. Ripped it out and replaced it with a Noctua P12 - runs a bit warmer, but that's cancelled out by the rest of my cooling.
