I take meds for ocd. I still do all the same things, but my anxiety is a lot better, so I don't get so worked up about it, I just go and do it.
I tried counselling but it didn't work - I think that was mostly my fault though. Apparently CBT is most successful for people with ocd, more than just the meds.
tbh I don't see how anyone can fix severe ocd. I'm sure it's possible, but I can't logically see how it can be got rid of without just waiting and hoping it will go away by itself. Which it probably won't, but might change or get easier.
What kind of ocd do you have? germs/contamination etc?
