It might be obvious... But for all the lofty verbosity that I seem to espouse, I'm really not as good at expressing myself I as I might seem. And beyond that I tend to contradict myself. This is an issue.

In any case, Callaway is mostly correct, I don't see Soph's actions are akin to bullying, what he does is more like how I tend to annoy people in real life through repetitive actions, or poking.
But I do see most trolling as bullying. P being a prime example. But not the only example known to I2.

The issue of trolling on WP being a negative action is that I tend to WP as a gateway. It's a deeply flawed place run by deeply flawed people, but like it or not it's one of the first places people go when looking up Aspergers. There doesn't seem to be any other site like WP. AFF would be is closest kin, but it's not the kind of site I recommend to anyone because it seems to be largely "anti-NT" in attitude (I could be wrong). Trolling there can be seen as similar to shitting in your own backyard; fun, but the neighbours aren't going to want to come over for a BBQ anytime soon.

I have nothing against Soph (in fact I rather like him), or indeed anyone who chooses to troll WP and WP's mods. It can be seen as a form of protest or expression, but I don't understand why one would do it, or why it becomes important. That's all, and is why I began my line of questioning.

I've never been a member of or posted at WP so it wasn't a first stop for me. But from what I gather, it isn't terribly hard to troll at WP. Seems like you can do it with realising.

Yes, that is sadly true. One of it's many deep flaws. It wasn't always true. I joined WP back in ~2003, and was moderator shortly thereafter, it was a much better place back then before Alex went insane. Or perhaps it was because Dan wasn't around to stop his insanity.

If there was a good alternative to WP then perhaps I'd have a differing attitude to trolling it

Made one "this site is full of perverts!" thread where I complained about female members PMing me to cyber and sending me pics of their boobs

Made one thread about how I was thinking about becoming a male escort

Made one "here's a picture of my gf playing with her wet pussy" thread which was only a picture of someone giving a kitten a bath

And in the perverts thread someone said I just wanted attention so I told him to stfu dumbass and said he was just jealous becuase he wasn't getting sexy PMs

So apart from that one stfu dumbass, I didn't troll anyone personally, just posted stupid shit

I do think a lot of what Pea does is cruel, and wouldn't do it myself, but I don't think all "trolling" is bullying

I think when GA talks about trolling being like bullying, he is thinking of what P does and what P did to him, and not really the type of stuff Soph does.

I read Soph's "trolling" posts here and to me they seemed more like good-natured teasing like telling someone who responded to her negatively something like, "You must be acting like that because you really have the hots for me.  That's good because I have the hots for you, too." 

Soph's initial Heinrich posts were brilliant, actually.

P's trolling is more mean-spirited, IMO.  I can see why GA became upset when his most sensitive issue was ridiculed in that way.  P had a choice when the host he chose told him to take down the thread and not to start any more like it or his site would be taken down, but he chose to ignore the warning, his site was taken down, and he lost the money he spent on hosting it.  What bugged me was that P whined that GA owed him the money he spent for hosting.

The idea is ridiculous. P must have known what he did. He deserved to lose that money.

I would like to know if he's changed his views since, actually.
