I have been taking hormone replacements as my body is not making any hormones.
So now I am getting acne, hot flushes (my mum calls them power surges), sore breasts, gaining weight and heart palpitations.

I go back to the doctor next month and I will have a few things to complain about, that is for sure.  >:(

I've been wondering about my own hormones lately; I think I was tested for androgens a few years ago and was told the results were ok, but I have my doubts.

all common side effects, i'm afraid.  :(  :hug:

you could try some of the herbal hormone thingies - far gentler, and fewer side effects.  which hormones do you need?

How long have you been taking them?
Have been on Depo Provera (progesterone)for about4/5 years and have been on the Oestrogen patches since the beginning of September. So not long for the oestrogen but I am still pissed off!

I need all the hormones I think, the test results of all hormones showed low levels. The doctor I am seeing is an endocrinologist. If I need to keep going with this hormone treatment, I may try some herbal remedies.

Just got the results of the bone density scan I had and it says on the letter, "In the absence of anti-resorptive therapy, the five-year predicted risk of fracture at any skeletal site is approximately 6%." Also says I have low bone density for my age.
This whole situation sucks.

Remember having a laugh about our handheld, net-linked scanner/computers we use at work. When they decided to "link them LIVE to the system"  and drastically increase "functionality" of the units, they installed Windows.

Guess what - it didn't work.  We had more errors than ever before, network drops, mixing of link info exchanged between units and the system, invalid log-in attempts shutting the whole system down for security, "Bad Oracle Netpoint request" errors, Invalid Parameter settings, illegal operation errors/matricidal memory read errors (Sorry, little app, you aren't allowed to eat from memory address 000000. It kills Mommy.), etc.


Oh, and I got a substantial increase in pay, yesterday, so I'm back in the "I like my job"  group.
