I've got plenty of codecs already; I just had to figure out how to recompress files in VirtualDub.  Now they're a more manageable size and Vegas is grinding away at encoding something that's youtubeable.

And now that I've used VirtualDub to save the audio from the source videos as .wav files, I've got to figure out why Vegas won't accept .wav files and try to come up with some other solution.  Is video editing always this much of a headache?  My experiences of it have been that nothing is compatible with anything else.

I've always found it to be a bit of a pain in the ass, until someone hooked me up with Sorensen Squeeze. Between that and Premiere I can do pretty much whatever I need.

Bloody Skype. Something prevents it from sending sound. :grrr:

One would think that Skype, Adobe, etc, would have noticed by now that lots of us run 64-bit non-Windows systems, and provided us with 64-bit applications, but nooooooooooooooooooo. Stupid fucking Microsoft probably bought their souls. :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

I had to try to explain to a Pinnacle Studio n00b  a few days ago why his audio does not synchronise with his video.
