I lost the adaptor that let me use my mini-SD card as a standard SD card in my card reader, so I'm having to transfer data from my iPAQ via USB, and it must only support USB 1.0, since it's slow as hell.  The cradle also isn't very secure, so I lose the connection if I bump it.  As technology gets smaller and smaller, it gets easier and easier to lose.

Yeah, on my computer in my room, albeit through their bloody firewall. All because ITS are way too incompetent to manage the novel idea of keeping the networks separate, or letting us tunnel through.

With tunnelling it can work now and then here, but then ITS are really really stupid when it comes to maintaining the network. Its really a matter of finding someone who knows the hack for whatever you need, its just a pain in the backside...
