What's wrong?

I've had an elevated temperature and have been feeling really shit for the past few days, so I guess I've caught something.  I've not felt this bad in years, though, so it must be something pretty nasty.  My coordination's messed up, my brain's fried, I have no strength or energy and there's a worryingly familiar buzzing discomfort all through my body that's really bothering me.

Sounds like you have that really nasty flu virus that hits with the force of locomotive.  Every once in a while I get one that really lays me flat out!  Hope your feeling better soon.

The only thing I have to bitch about is that my son came home for the third time this season without his coat FFS.

He passed three addults inside the building and two outside in the cold and no one bothered to inquire. GOD DAMNIT!!

He is a special needs child in some ways and he is as disorganized as his father. He loses shit!! We place our trust in the school system to care for him in our absence, while he is at school.

I want him to assimilate as best he can, but he's only eight and neeeds an extra bit of prompting anyway. How much fucking horror is caused by delaying the bus for three minutes while he runs back to get his coat?!?!?!??

... on top of that, the bus droppped them off seven minutes early, yesterday.

i have that frustration too mate. mine loses shit and would forget his head if it was loose too, and he's 11. we'll have to see if he improves next year at upper school when he's getting transported - i pick him up myaelf now so I can prompt him. when I remember.

Fucking guy at the Hilti store gave me the wrong price and made me think my materials were costing double what I was quoted before this went on ten minutes before he realized he was looking at the wrong book and I had been right I almost had a hart attack Now I am trying to recover

Inexplicably, they both showed up at the bus stop today with everything just right.

... coats on and fastened, gloves on (and on the correct hands too!), mufflers around the neck and tucked in, earmuffs on, hats on, bookbags on, etc ... everything just right!

Of course, I expected this phenomenonal display to be the result of a great deal of teacherly intervention, but I was wrong. My son said he had his coat on when he left school, but they did all the rest on the bus so I would not worry. I have rewarded them with a chance to take a terrorizing run through our craft supplies for the evening (lots of mess-making possibilities in there - one of their favorite rewards!).
