OK, here's why I'm pissed:  Our campus clinic is not covered by insurance to call in prescriptions for the HPV vaccine, even if your insurance would pay for the same medicine if it were administered by your GP or gyno.  Very sensical, too, seeing as it's only fifty percent of our age bracket that has the (pardon pun) fucking disease, that it rarely manifests symtoms, and that condoms do pretty much jack shit against it.  Not to mention the fact that our student population is not 50/50 in gender- we're 70% female.  So, shit, I guess the insurance companies were like,  "Yeah!  Up to 35% of these chicks are gonna be ripe and ready for cervical cancer!  We're gonna get RICH off of hospital bills a ways down the road."  Investing in the future, and all.

I take it the vaccine is expensive as hell if your insurance doesn't pay for it?   Sounds like some bullshit.   They should know that colleges are hotspots for STDs and prevention should be a huge issue.   They hand out condoms for free, but do nothing to prevent a STD that isn't preventable by using condoms.   Doesn't make much sense.

No, I hate waiting. My appointment was 11:20 and I didn't get called till 11:40. I was getting real anxious so I was pacing around the front of the building indoors where you wait.

Ah, crap.  I think I permanently misplaced my watch (as in, dropped it somewhere on the sidewalk), and the store I'd go to replace it was fresh out of the type- cheap enough, but the only type of women's digital watch with expansion band I have yet to find ANYWHERE.  In lieu, I bought two ten-dollar watches that are identical to one another in fuction but with slightly different-colored bands; both are stopwatches with plain plastic/rubber type bands that work like belts.  It'll take some getting used to but maybe it'll make me a little less watch-fussy, and the bands can actually fit my wrists, whereas the expansion band let my old watch slide halfway up my forearm if I raised my hand.  Still, grrr.
