Bastarding alarm has started again.

The guy who lives next to the house with the alarm went around and tried to close the windows, though most windows here are designed to resist manipulation from the outside, so I don't know how successful he was.  The people who live there must have gone off somewhere and left their windows open, and the wind was probably getting in and setting the alarm off.  It would have been interesting if the police had turned up and saw the guy fiddling with an open downstairs window while the house alarm was going off.

I hurt myself today, too, by being over confident.

It's been almost six weeks since I broke my arm and it has been feeling pretty good.  I chucked the cast today at work, against doctor's orders. I strained it, but I think it's OK. It hurt for a while!

My wife took a pic of me horsing with my son. For the first time in my life, my left arm is more defined in musculature than my right arm. (I am right-handed, more than half ambidextrous, but my preference shows - always has)

It is BECAUSE of wearing the cast.

The little wrinkles over my knuckles on my broken finger disappeared because I had to keep it straight for such a long time.

For the first time in my life, my left arm is more defined in musculature than my right arm.

I had knee surgery a few years ago. Just prior to the surgery, I had built up strength in the structures around the knee through long and tedious physiotherapy. All the progress I had made was lost overnight following the surgery. It wasn't a huge shock; my surgeon had warned me what to expect. My right leg was noticeably thinner than the left one for quite awhile. Eventually all or nearly all the muscle tone returned, once I started doing weight-bearing exercise again.

Your muscle tone will come back. Just be cautious - don't push it too hard, too fast. Best of luck in recovery.

I forgot to say that I can make a tight fist with that hand and finger now, but it took quite a lot of practice before I could.
