I had a director vising me in the booth earlier today. It was the first screening of his first film, ever, a feature filmed using...

... a mobile phone camera.

You have no idea of how bad it looked on the screen.

Anyway, he started talking to me about the sound (also recorded using that mobile) and I listened patiently, asking the pertinent questions about Dolby standard curve, that sort of thing.

Then he started talking about the image sharpness and I could no longer suffer it. I said: "Don't you think you have disqualified yourself from this particular topic?"

ooooooooookaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy, this twit makes a movie using a cell phone camera, RIGHT?  He gets it shown (somehow that escapes me) in a theatre, RIGHT?  He expects you to somehow make HIS images clearer and sharper, RIGHT???    Am I missing something????   Or does he think he's the next incarnation of Ingemar Bergman???
