Maybe because they don't get paid till then so they are just telling you so you know when to cash it so it won't bounce. I only did that once with my uncle. I paid my other bills and I wouldn't have enough money for my electric and rent but i wrote the check anyway just to get it out of the way and I was going to get paid in a couple of days and then I had to put the money in the bank so I told him it wouldn't be good till monday and he said not to worry and he will wait and take his time. He didn't cash the check till towards the end of the month. Of course I didn't spend that money for the check I wrote. Some people make that mistake and they end up having to pay more money for bounced checks, sometimes they have to pay the bank for it. An aspie guy here ended up in that situation.

Had a lady close her garage door on my truck today no damage but it scared the shit out of the guy who was loading the machine in the back of the truck
