That makes no sense.  How can it hurt as much as it does sometimes, enough that you need to use a cane to walk, and there be nothing at all wrong with it?

What all did the doctor do to examine it?

Well, she didn't say "nothing", exactly, but except for mentioning that thing about a nerve she couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. No joint problems or that sort of thing.

If it's a nerve getting trapped, I wonder if a chiropractor could help?

I've been to one and it didn't help. I miss my chiropractor, though. She fixed a lot of other problems before she quit. The replacement isn't nearly as good.

Hopefully the docs will figure it out.
