I couldn't justify the added cost and utility costs of running an extra large washer and dryer for just 3 comforters a year.  Last year it cost $7 to wash and dry them.  I did have an extra large washer, but wasn't using it for full loads.  I have a schedule because we don't have a lot of space to store dirty laundry.  Monday and Thursday, whites and underwear; Tuesday and Friday outer clothes; Wednesday and Saturday towels; Sunday sheets.

You have a good point but when I bought these, I didn't have a washing machine or dryer at all, so I decided to go big.  I do wash big loads of clothes besides just using it to wash comforters, though.

Although Prince Albert doesn't work, he does things around the house that often result in dirty and/or wringing wet clothes.  Also, the Princess Royal is messy with her clothes.  So I can't let them pile up without the clothes getting mildewed or stains setting in.

I do understand about mustiness, it's a problem I have with my dishwashing clothes.  :thumbdn:

Found exposed live wires the hard way in an attic yesterday lucky no shock just a really big arc that scared the crap out of me the as I looked around more closely I found even more that I had to avoid
