I am in love with my parakeets.  I never thought it would happen, but I have become a bird lover.  I bought a parakeet for my daughter last year, bought the crappiest cage, the cheapest birdseed, and I'll be damned if that bird didn't watch us, chirp at us, try to communicate with us... I was completely taken.  So now that parakeet has 2 friends, a deluxe cage, and hand picked dandelion leaves each day .
