The re-mastered John Lennon tracks.  I have a complete set, now.  (I managed to rip them from our promotional copies)

Some are almost exactly like the originals, thank fuck, and some have been improved.  I am enjoying this.

They are to be released on Tuesday next week.  I have advance promotional copies. They sound great!

His seventieth birthday is coming up, October 9, but the label does not want to miss out on "New Release Tuesday" promos around the globe. On October fifth, everyone can buy them.

I've been listening to Lennon, lately. I have the box that Yoko Ono had released, full of outtakes and demos, and can't help thinking that he could have added a lot to his resume if he had been allowed to live.

Of course, I own all of his classic albums and know them by heart, but I'm still looking forward to the new set.

I have not found anything new in the re-masters.  I am sure that I am not as familiar as you are, but I have all the classics as well, vinyl and CD.

I do agree with you that he and about four or five others died way too young.
