I can't do with rats on leads. I'm not big on cats either, but little spoilt yappy shit machines do my head in. I like proper dogs.
Agreed and for years I refused to get a dog, because we live in town and our back yard is tiny. I felt it would be cruel to have a proper dog trying to make do in our tiny quarters.
I have to admit, though, that when my wife convinced me to get a fox terrier, which I had no interest in, I fell for him. He was the most attentive and easily trainable dog I had ever seen. I miss him. He died too young, because of the same thing I was always worried about - our run is insufficient for a dog. He got out many times, being a dawg, chasing the girls, but one night he got hit by a car.
