In the early days, they were new and kind of fresh and I had only heard them open for Uriah Heap - a bit of a mismatch. They came back around a few months later, as a headliner, and every concert was sold out. I was very curious, but I had to call in favors to get in to the show. I just had to hear what all the excitement was about. At the time, I put them in the same box as Yes, ELP and most keyboard heavy bands, but, being a little more towards the hippie, trippy side. They have some unique sounds, but I never bought their albums because I felt that the rawness and panache was missing from the studio tracks.
CDs I have ...
Exciter
Playing The Angel
Ultra
They all are very similar and I can get about an hour of interesting tunes from the three CDs, mainly, because I am a little removed from the trippy head stuff, nowdays, except for Ozrics, of course.
