Yup. I paid one a visit today. Literally. He renewed my Zoloft prescription but said no to melatonin, on the grounds that it's "licensed", whatever that means, and he's only a temp. He suggested that I get another doc (really!) and hinted that I can buy melatonin on the internet. WTF is wrong with the medical profession these days?

My son was prescribed melatonin recently, and it works like a charm for him. I'm kind of jealous.

Do you at least agree with me that Sweden is a stupid, bureaucratic country without liberty in this respect, odeon? I'm going to Gothenburg this week or next, to buy amphetamine illegally from an aspie I know there, since that is licensed too and I don't have ADHD but "only" AS, so that central stimulants can't come in question for me.  :(

The Swedish equivalent of the FDA has decided that since the effects of melatonin aren't that well known, it shall be licensed. If you don't know it, restrict it or ban it.  :grrr:

You see! Europe is cowardly and bureaucratic. Not only things like guns are restricted or banned; even medications that some people need so badly are restricted or banned. Swedish vodka is both cheaper to buy and stronger in America than in Sweden, by the way...
