Karma is something people use to make a physical gesture that they approved or disapproved of what somebody said.  And for others it is just another stat to obsess over like posts.  And lastly, it is a number people like to keep at fun numbers like 69, and 666.

By the way, Nomaken set his own karma to a large negative number when he was an administrator, but it settled on -44666, for some reason.   >:D
