the miniseries has better special effects than the kubrick movie! and better acting.
Stephen King doesn't make the movies, he just gives up the rights easily cuz he is a fan of movies. and his B movies totally rule, they are classics.
The TV movie I saw had cheap CGI effects and Daytime Soap Opera acting. The kubrik version has been studied and analysed for years. I don't see the crappy TV movie on the shelves of any film school libraries. As a fan of the book, I was really let down by that movie.
