I asked GA's (my husband) opinion on this, the answer to the question. He said "pretty much" except I am a bit more polite online. I say a few swear words in real life. They are easier to say than to write I think. :green:

I don't know what I consider myself to be but I do try to be a good person. I think that is the thing, to try. Because if I am already, then I needn't try anymore. Or something.

I live about ten minutes walk from the beach. I know some people would love this. I go down there every now and then to walk along the water. GA goes for a swim sometimes. It is a very windy and sandy beach. The sand is white and fine. There are some manmade rocky outcrops so people can go out on them and fish. The rocks are limestone. We have a lot of limestone in Western Australia.

That does sound nice.  Does living so close to the beach and the breeze cool off your temperatures as compared to further inland?

It does a little bit. I used to live inland near the hills and we didn't get any breeze there.

But it is still really hot here at the moment. It is forecast to be 37C on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Blech.

The beach sounds like when I lived it Florida we had white sands most places but no rocks.  In the summer the water temperature was abound 87F (30.55C) in the Gulf of Mexico not very refreshing.  Is it expensive near the beach or not so much.  Where I live now there used to be normal people living right by the beach and nice little cheap restaurants now the houses are a million plus and the regular people are being driven out :'(  Just hope it's not like this everywhere.

That is happening here unfortunately. I see huge expensive houses are being built here now. And "luxury apartments".

1. The ocean is ok. But I have a phobia about ships. Specifically tall ships. The look of them makes me feel queazy and weird.

2. Yes I do like rainforests. I have been to one in Thailand. It was so green.

3. Yes frogs are cool.

It gives me the creeps to look up at a ship, too.  They're so huge and wide, and you feel like they're going to run over you and crush you.   :(

Do you often see scary spiders and snakes where you live?  All we ever hear in the US is how Oz has so many dangerous beasts!

On a more pleasant note, do you ever see the cuddly beasts, like kangaroos and koalas??

Raskolnikovna, my phobia with the ships is even with pictures of them. I feel uneasy. Pirates of the Caribbean nuh-uh.

I used to live near some bushland and I saw dugites and tiger snakes fairly often. Those snakes are poisonous. One of our Siamese cats used to bring them into our garden. Apparently Siamese are well known for getting into things they shouldn't. How our cat never got bitten, I will never know.

When I lived alone, I used get lots of millipedes in the house and I found a couple of scorpions as well. Spiders, we have a lot of redbacks (venomous) where I live right now, they hang around the window sills and the fence outside.

I like kangaroos, they are nice. There are a lot of wild ones near where my parents live. Koalas, I don't think much of. They smell. And they don't do much.

Soph, my favourite subject was science. I also liked woodwork and metalwork, making things. I wasn't to clever at any of those, I just enjoyed them.

I know your favourite subject was and is History, you are very good at it. :)
